Buckingham Transport moved the historic Intelligent Whale submarine and its display base from storage to a museum.The Intelligent Whale was built in the 1860s and is the only surviving Union Civil War-era submarine. Following a failed trial in 1872, it was put on display at the Brooklyn and Washington Navy Yards, and later relocated to the National Guard Militia Museum of New Jersey. The submarine weighed 36,000 lbs and was 29½' long.
