Buckingham delivered this 300,000-lb transformer to a substation for a new solar farm in the Ohio Valley. We offloaded the transformer from the railcar, then used a Goldhofer trailer to haul it five miles over country roads to the substation. Inside the station, our foreman put the trailer into self-propel mode to drive the transformer into position alongside the pad, where our crew used the Buckingham Jack and Slide System and 100-ton Jacks to safely transload the transformer and lower it to final position.
