A new power substation in West Virginia needed two large transformers delivered to the site. Each transformer weighed 488,800 lbs. As they were too large to ship by railcar, Buckingham Transport coordinated the transfer of the transformers from the ship to a barge in New Orleans. When they arrived upriver at the landing, Buckingham set barge ramps and used 12 lines of Goldhofer E-Steer modules to drive the transformers off of the barge to await delivery to the substation.
